Jaxon Film Fest
The Jaxon Film Fest is south-central Michigan’s premier film and music festival. Held within approximately a forty mile radius of several key Michigan cities that extend like the ends on the spokes on a wheel, Jackson, Michigan is the hub.
Jackson is an almost equal distance from the state capital, the homes of three state universities, Lansing (home of Michigan State University), Ann Arbor (home of the University of Michigan), and Kalamazoo (the home of Western Michigan University), and just thirty miles north of two state lines. Jackson is in an ideal location to become the center of Michigan’s film and music industries.
The Jaxon Film Fest is held at the historic Michigan Theatre, 124 North Mechanic Street, with other activities taking place throughout the city of Jackson.
With a focus on Michigan films, the Jaxon Film Fest also screens the very best of independent and foreign features, documentaries, shorts and students.
