The Heart of Gold International Film Festival encourages films that are entertaining, uplifting, thought-provoking and express a positive view of the world and humanity.

As the festival has grown we have begun to present some wonderful seminars and masterclasses designed to help equip filmmakers.
In 2009 - 211 of the 215 films screened were shorts. We gave $5,000 cash to the best short and numerous other prizes and awards.
